SOMMET DE L’ELEVAGE, one of the main international livestock trade shows, will held its 23rd edition from 1-3 October 2014 in Clermont-Ferrand (Central France). Fully dedicated to the professional sector, the show, which covers 170,000 m² exhibition space, is hosting 1,250 exhibitors and 82,500 trade visitors, including 3,600 international visitors from 80 countries. Located in the heart of the Massif Central region, the European cradle of the beef breeding industry, SOMMET DE L’ELEVAGE provides an exceptional showcase for the French livestock industry, exhibiting some 2,000 livestock specimens of high genetic value from 70 different breeds (1,300 cattle – 400 sheep – 300 horses). The three days will be packed with livestock showings, business meetings, technological innovation competition (“Sommets d’Or” awards), VIP visits and top-level conferences and seminars, all held in the fun-filled, convivial atmosphere that is a trademark feature of the show. A special program is organized for international visitors (free entrance to the show, International VIP Club, organization of farm tours…).
