EURASCO (The European Federation of Agricultural Exhibitions and Show Organizers), the structure created in 1966 covering the agricultural and the food sector events of the Great Europe with 33 members from 23 countries, had its very fruitful celebration of its 50th anniversary of activities during its AGM in Verona on 2nd February during FIERAGRICOLA 2016.
The meeting saw the presences of 27 delegates from 17 countries and had three important guests: Mr. Michel Lambert, Secretary of the Royal Agricultural Society of the Commonwealth – RASC, the confederation of over fifty leading and regional Agricultural Show Societies, Association and Research Bodies working in twenty Commonwealth countries; Mr. Jef Verhaeren, Secretary of IFAJ (The European Network of Agricultural Journalists); Mr. Michele Pisante Deputy Commissioner of the Italian Council for Agricultural Research and Economics (CREA).
There was, as usual, a very interesting internal Round Table Discussion on the impact of the current economic phase on the exhibition business and the presentation of the next agriculture event of each single member.
During FIERAGRICOLA 2016 (from Wednesday 3rd to Saturday 6th February) all the members have had at their disposal a special EURASCO exhibition area (located in Galleria Arena, between pavilions number 6/7) with the opportunity to meet, to promote their own events by information brochures, promotional literature etc.
Confirmed the 2016 second semester AGM will be taken in Bucharest (Romania) for INDAGRA, International trade fair of equipment and products in agriculture, horticulture, viticulture and animal husbandry, November 2-6 2016 with INDAGRA FOOD in the same date (see about www.indagra.ro).
